Our Mission

The Next Generation Initiative is a 501(c)3 organization designed to enable the next generation of media professionals to be successful.

The vision of The Next Generation InitiativeI is to carve out more pathways to career success in the media communications industry for more young people throughout the Indianapolis area. We achieve this by encouraging creative expression and providing high-level training on state-of-the-art digital equipment to young adults across the city. Through our innovative approach to professional training, and our real world, practical opportunities, aspiring professionals develop the skills necessary to compete in this very competitive industry.
The Next Generation program has provided tremendous opportunities for our participants since its inception, and continues to see great interest among young people. Our participants have had the opportunity to work with the NCAA, Tom Wood Automotive Group, Community Health, Teachers Credit Union and Papa John’s, among many others. These opportunities have resulted in more than sixty former participants being actively employed in a media production/communications capacity at this time. Through partnerships and program sponsors we are able to provide these opportunities at no cost to the program participants.
